Co-Created and Co-Written by Jack Canfora and Andrew Rein. Directed by Rich Jack. Starring Jill Eikenberry, Michael Tucker, Andrew Rein, Kevin Isola.
Why did you decide to submit to FirstGlance?
We’ve submitted the pilot for ‘The Small Time’ to a number of festivals around the country. Because we have only produced a pilot at this point, we were targeting festivals that had pilot competitions specifically, or would accept web series with only a single episode produced. FirstGlance was one of those festivals. But, it’s one of the fests we’re most excited about, given its long history and strong track record. We’re truly honored to be a part of it.
Will someone from your team be attending FirstGlance?
Co-Creators Jack Canfora and Andrew Rein are planning on attending.
What is something you feel is important for our readers to know about your film?:
We have seven additional episodes written and ready to shoot! Assuming that we can secure the funding we need, we hope to be back in production later in 2016!
What should viewers expect from your film?
We wanted to create a series – and characters – that made us laugh. We figured that if we were able to do that, we’d have something that would make other people laugh as well. We’re also lucky to have some incredible talent in Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker, who are wonderful and hilarious as Ben’s parents.
Do you have any (funny, interesting, scary etc.) production stories our readers might enjoy?
Nothing scary, thankfully. We were very lucky to partner up with Nutmeg Creative on this project. Nutmeg is a full-service production- and post-production facility in NYC. Their expertise and professionalism, as well as their ability to really get our creative vision for the project, is a huge part of its success.
What are you looking forward to most at FirstGlance?
Well, it’s exciting to get to go to L.A. with the project. We’re trying to find a home for the series, and we really believe FirstGlance is going to give us an excellent opportunity to connect with the industry folks we need to connect with.
