We’re starting a new project and we’re looking for people to contribute!
We’re collecting and posting people’s “film stories.” It can really be anything. What We’re looking for is the story about that time you watched Psycho and couldn’t shower with the curtain closed for 2 months. When you went on a really bad first date and you’ll never be able to watch Failure to Launch again. When you watched Superman as a child and broke your collarbone jumping out of your 3rd floor window. When you watched The Lottery and presumed at some point someone in your family was going to get stoned to death. The time your dad helped you build a fort in the living room to watch Indiana Jones. When you watched something that made you think so hard it hurt. Anything like this. The story can be happy, sad, angry, perplexing, whatever! Any story about why you love a film, hate a film, how it intersected with your life in some way or another, and the place it holds in your heart/mind/memory etc.
We’re not looking for a review or a long list of reasons you love movies. We’re looking for one specific story that involved a specific film that had an impact on you. There’s no word requirement or parameters other than those already stated. We just need your story and a picture of you (that you have ownership of, please add the photo credit if it’s a professional photo) to go with it, unless you’d like it to be anonymous. We’ve already received numerous entries and would like to make this something really special!
If you’d like to share your story, please submit it to firstname.lastname@example.org, with the subject “My Film Story”.
