Why did you decide to submit to FirstGlance?
Myself (Tancredi Di Paola) and Brian L. Grant are currently in the process of writing a feature film based on “Sparks”. FirstGlance Film Fest will be a fantastic way to see the audience’s reaction to the story and to spread the word that “Sparks” the feature film is a hypothesis.
Will someone from your team be attending FirstGlance?
Yes. Myself and hopefully the actresses and producers.
What is something you feel is important for our readers to know about your film?
Though Sparks is a fantasy story, it touches many real and contemporary issues.
What should viewers expect from your film?
I would like to say what they should not expect from Sparks, and that is a female character that needs to be saved by a male hero.
Do you have any production stories our readers might enjoy?
Many asked me why Sparks is silent. I actually came up with many poetical reasons to answer this question. For example, the lack of dialogue in the film does not limit it to a specific audience, but it allows the story to be told to a universal audience. Also, I could say that, being an International student from Italy, I wanted to make a film that my father as well (who does not really master the English language) could understand the story as well as everybody else. However, the truth is less exciting, and that is that the class I made Sparks for required that the project was silent.
