Why did you decide to submit to FirstGlance?
I wanted to get Jef in front of a west coast audience, and FirstGlance looked like a pretty great opportunity for that!
Will someone from your team be attending FirstGlance?
Sadly, probably not, although I’m going to try to be there!
What is something you feel is important for our readers to know about your film?
My goal was to make a comedy film that was as joke-dense as possible, so keep your eyes and ears open for lots of little easter egg-type jokes hidden throughout.
What should viewers expect from your film?
My hope is that people relate to the ridiculous and stupid situation Jef finds himself in, and find some humor in it.
Do you have any production stories our readers might enjoy?
There’s a sequence that takes place outside during a blizzard, which we filmed during an actual blizzard that shut down the entire city of New York for one night. No public transit, no buses, no cars, nothing! It was unprecedented opportunity to capture our neighborhood with only a few cars or people seen the whole night.
Where can our readers find more information about your film?
My website, www.dconte.com, is the most up-to-date resource for all things related to Jef and the rest of my work.
